Welcome yet again to Heroes on Demand, your weekly source for ready-made and ready-to-play PCs for a variety of RPGs. Once again we’ll be traveling to the Outer Rim Territories, seeking to escape the Empire’s determined efforts to enslave or extinguish those sensitive to the Force. While some of those born Force-sensitive have it within them to perhaps one day become carriers of the Jedi legacy, not all are so lucky. So don’t think, but instead feel as we introduce…

Background: Kirry’s a survivor; she’s had to be ever since she found herself living on the streets after her father got caught on the wrong side of a violent argument between two rival swoop gangs. She probably wouldn’t have lasted past the first month had an older street kid named Quinn not taken the little girl under his wing; a lot of what Kirry knows about surviving on the galactic fringe, she owes to Quinn’s guidance. It certainly wasn’t the sort of life that a young girl should have, but to Kirry it was better than becoming “just another casualty of an uncaring galaxy,” and there were some good times mixed in with the rough times, so it wasn’t all bad.
But all that changed when Quinn got press-ganged into service by the Empire as fodder for its ever-expanding war machine. For the first time in close to a decade, Kirry was once more alone and on her own, but she wasn’t the helpless little child like she’d been when she’d lost her parents. Determined to find where they’d taken Quinn and get her friend back, Kirry has left the streets she grew up on, though at the cost of a future favor of an unspecified nature to a smuggler baron to get a ride off-world,. The trail to Quinn’s current location has proven a lot harder for the plucky young street rat to follow, but she’s not going to give up on the one person in the galaxy that she cares about.
Kirry is at heart a plucky street urchin, able to survive on her own and just full of surprises. She’s handy to have in a fight and has some pretty decent people skills as well, thanks to her ranks in Charm and Negotiation. Kirry’s also got a a couple unexpected surprises by way of her Force powers, and, though she’s going to have to develop that talent in order to make it something impressive, it certainly does provide her with an extra option that most people won’t be aware of.
She’s probably not the sort to be openly trusting, particularly about her little “gift”, but Kirry will prove to be a loyal ally once her trust is earned; the fact that she’s trying to track down her childhood friend from the Imperial Army to help him go AWOL should be proof enough of that. Kirry’s got no real clue about Jedi or the Force, as those are just a couple of meaningless words to her, but an interesting story arc could be made out of her starting to discover more about the Force and expanding upon her basic abilities, generally by purchasing more upgrades for the powers she does have or perhaps even just picking up some ranks in Discipline so she can make better use of the offensive aspects of her powers.
